THE STORY OF MARGIE'S MASTERPIECES

My name is Marguerite McGurk. I am a rising college student at UNC Asheville. I have been an artist since I can remember; from the first time I picked up a crayon and ran it across paper I was hooked! I took regular art classes through elementary and middle school, and decided in high school that this was my true passion. I decided to challenge myself, taking college level courses for these last two years and truly pushing myself to my best ability. While my art techniques and skills have greatly improved, I am far from perfect. Then again, art was never meant to be perfect. I believe that art is made to be unique, to express emotions and hardships in a beautiful way. There are no mistakes in art; every smudge and line and dot was meant to be. Art is the most pure and beautiful form of expression known to man, and I hope that my works here may speak to someone, and help others see the world through my eyes.
